Ab Initio Calculation of Energies and Transition Probabilities
for the Be-Like Ions

We have done a numerical calculation in the two-particle/two-hole approximation for the systems with a core plus two electrons. The results of energies and transition probabilities for Be-like ions are of good quality. In particular, the transition probabilities are calculated by two gauges, length and velocity, to demonstrate the gauge-independence of the formalism.
